Just purchased a 69 Barracuda convertible, slant six, auto! The transport company just called and said they'd be dropping it off this Friday. It's been 32 years since I owned my last Mopar, a 65 Dart 270, slant six, three speed. I can hear that valve tap in my sleep. I'm really looking forward to spending the winter in the garage with this car! I'm pretty sure I'll be on FABO asking a lot of stupid questions. Anyway, 11/11/11 promises to be a good day!

Thanks!
I'll try to get a bunch of picture online Friday night. Depends if it's a one or two Scotch night.

I have original (and reprinted) manuals for a couple of mine. They are the best resource for these cars. The wiring diagrams are invaluable as well

had the car for three days and solidly in the 'getting to know you' phase. Picked the car up at a truck stop on Rte. 78 in eastern PA. Like an idiot, I didn't fill up the tank for the hour drive home. The idiot part would correspond to the gas gauge being broken. Got about two miles from home and coasted to a gentle stop......very lucky it didn't happen on the highway! Anyway, i filled up the tank and that evening started smelling gas in the house.....it leaks when topped off. Other than that the car is a lot of fun. Now I just need to figure out what the leaking fluids are and where they're coming from.

Welcome to FABO

Look forward to seeing pictures of your new purchase
