I've recieved great help from members who have guided me through my '65 GT full resto, and maybe someone can lead me in the right direction to help a friend who has been restoring a '48 Chrysler P-15 that has an ancient rear end design and he says that he's heard that some mid sixties Chrys/Dodge models perhaps a cuda should work for his 4.5 bolt pattern? Anybody out there who knows what he needs?

Go to tech section in forums and look up widths of axles listed there for the 8-3/4 rearend. Then you can compare to the 48 Chrysler width to find a replacement. Even if it isn't 8-3/4 the other axles for that model will be same width.

On my pop's '49 p-18 he used a '68-'70 B body rear end, IIR he just had to change the spring perches to the older style.
