The Forest service banned the use of briquette BBQ's in town now because A**es like this guy can't clean up his friggin yard before lighting his BBQ.
Dead weeds and grass, old pallets and he goes out and lights a BBQ in the wind.

MORON.

I'm surprised they allowed that to just "lay" around in the yard, in town! Most towns have ordinances on yard cleanlyness....

Well I got Kitty and I an electric infrared grill a few years ago. I gotta say, we love the thing. You cannot booger up food on it and there's no mess with charcoal or and fluid. You can even throw smoking chips right on the grill surface to smoke your food with no chance of burnin down the neighborhood.

Would that be those that placed the ban? That's what I would take issue with.

Well, the enforcement people have to do it because of people like that.
You know, at first I thought it was a lack of common sense, but over the years I realized that it's not that.
People just do what they want no matter the ban or regulations.

Last year in Flagstaff AZ (riding area called "the cinders") on 4th of July weekend they had a total ban on ALL open flame.
You couldn't even smoke a cigarette unless you were inside a closed vehicle, and they had huge signs everywhere.
Well a group of people not only had a campfire that night, but three of them spaced out semi evenly around their campsite.
Someone called the ranger station and reported them, and by the time the ranger got there they were having roman candle fireworks fights and using the trees for cover.

The ranger got all pissed, threatened them with fines and put the fires out.
They also confiscated the fireworks as they are illegal in AZ.
I walked over and told the ranger that if he did indeed give them a $10,000 fine as he threatned, that people wouldn't pull that crap.
He said "well, we don't want to make it where people don't come to the forests any more".

I was Like, WTF so you would have the come to the forest and burn it down then?
He just got in his truck without saying another word about it and drove off.

Guess what?
Later that night the dipshit's built another fire and the ranger came back again (still no fine)
I think they should have pulled up in a firetruck and hosed thier entire camp right off the map.:D
