Do your caliper dust boots rub on the rotor “step”?

I was wondering the same thing. I had to cut my new rotor "hats" on a lathe and remove about .080" on each to get them to clear the rubber seals and caliper tips.

No rubbing that I am aware of. I will take a look when I get her out of storage.

If so I will get the rotor hub "step" machined down as Rob had to do. I just assumed they fit right.
I looked at some photos I took when I installed and yes the rubber dust boots are very close to the hub!!
