After overhauling the brakes on my Dart, the front drums are hot to the touch after driving 5-10 miles(with some stop and go). New shoes and cylinders were put on all around and the drums were in great shape. Is this a normal accurance due to drag or poor adjustment? The rears stay cool.

Thanks.

rears do about 30%? of the braking, the fronts will usually be hot after a cruise like that. they are set to have that little drag on the shoes at all times, 5/10miles is long enough to make them hot to the touch if you ask me.

Agree with Goody....UNLESS you are noticing any pull to either side, then they might be adjusted too tight on that side OR draggin for some reason
