front fender extension repair

what are some ways to repair the broken studs on my front fender extension on my dart? i have the pot metal one. thought about threading the studs and adding an extension to them but studs are too big tap 1/4 in and too small to tap 5/16. thanks in advance rick w.

drill and tap them for a 10-32 . Then use a 10-32 to 1/4-20 stepped stud . Been there works great.
