Fuel pressure gauge plug leak

I bought a dual inlet fuel line for a Holley DP that comes with the brass plug in place of a pressure gauge. Since I do not have a gauge, the plug will leak, teflon tape will leak, how do you seal it?
The internet crowd says use yellow teflon tape, and leave it off the first few threads.
Whether it's a plug or a gauge, what is the correct way to seal it?

Yellow thread tape is gas resistant. good advice. Yellow teflon tape and leave off a few threads to keep out of carb.
