Fuel problem...need help

Put the new push rod in, coat in assembly lube. Don't chase your tail till you know there is still a problem.
My car was doing exactly the same thing, vapor lock like symptoms (fuel starvation), will cause car to run hot.

If your gas gauge is working then only replace the sock.

This is a classic sign of fuel boil. What some are calling vapor lock. Search it here and the Internet see what you think.

here is my new fuel pump push rod...compared to the old one. The old one was definetly worn down. I hope this fixes the problem!

Looks about right, you should be good to go with the new one.
