I have an aluminum timing chain cover .... I'm pretty sure I stripped some of the threads (why I say "some" is 'cause as soon as I felt the slip, I backed out (ARP chrome bolt, 1" , seemed somewhat short). Any way, I grabbed another bolt a half inch longer and it tightened fine. Was curious how long the stock fuel pump bolts are (looked on-line and can't find size) My concern is the bolt I used could be too long and touch the timing chain ? Thanks.

Took a quick look at mine - 3/8" X 1 3/8" , don't know if they're original. How long was the one you installed ?

unless there like 4 inches you are fine, you have a pretty good ways to get into the chain, plus you would know as soon as you started it. If there is no noise and the pump is tight I would let it slide.

'bout an inch and a half as said. Should be okay looks like but only using one of those purdy ARP's , dang, hope nobody makes fun of me :thebirdm:
