I have been looking at mechanical fuel pumps, does anyone know if the new 360 crate engines have the eccentric for the pump on the cam?

Thanks

That's a good question. I know they are Magnum based, and I think now ther is a pkg you can get to add an eccentric to the cam...But I dont know if the timing cover even has the flange now... Sorry I cant help with that one.

Not sure but they need to be pulled apart and checked regardless so it's easy enough to add one if it's not there. Mancini should have the kit to add it.

The next question is do they have provisions for the mounting of the fuel pump? If they don't then electric is the only answer.

"update"

Just looked in the performance book and they have the provisions so the cam will be the determining factor. They are based on the magnum engines but use early style water pump housing with the fuel pump mount.

I called the Mopar Tech Line and the guy who answered said the cam in a 360 crate engine does have the eccentric for a mechanical fuel pump.
