fuel pump

Had really bad black crap being traped in fuel filter. Replaced tank and sending unit and fuel filter. Car starts and runs for about 15 minutes and dies. When watching the fuel thru the fuel filter sometimes the pump surges the gas in and sometimes it trickles in. Bad fuel pump or bad needle and seat valve?

did you blow out the lines when you replaced tank? Pull fuel line and run some into a container to see how it flows -could be trash in the fuel inlet restricting the flow thru the needle and seat

Found that the idle jets were plugged, replaced carb. Engine runs about 15 minutes, gets warm and dies...if I keep the rpms up, it sputters than quits. any ideas?

I decided my similar problem is the fuel pump. I'll know once the new on is installed in a few days .

....Replace the rest of the rubber hose, front to back.....i had to replace the pump also....kim........
