Thanks for the help. I am not a gearhead by and stretch of the imagination. I am trying to finish the project my late son started.
 
Well, your question is a little unclear. What exactly are you trying to figure out?

And sorry for your loss.
 
I am not getting fuel to the carb at the start. A little starter fluid and it runs pretty good. A local mechanic said that I would need a new carb, sending unit and fuel pump. Just trying to get an idea of what is going on.
 
OK, so once it's running it runs good, correct?

What engine is in it? What carb?

As far as the carb, most likely it can be rebuilt.

If the sock on the sending unit is plugged, that will be an issue.

If it runs once you get it going, I can't see an issue with the fuel pump just yet.


How long has the car sat without being run?
