So I dropped the fuel tank on recent found 62 valiant and it wasn't pretty. My finger went right through a hole. My question is. I would prefer to purchase a new tank, not luck finding one, before I waste time and money with a sealing kit. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure but is a 62 one year specific? I see they list 63 up fuel tanks (225) on Rockauto believe $180 spectra tanks are good ones as well.
sealing kit???? don't think so..... if your sticking your finger in it, I say time for something better!!???? ask some guys on slant six.org if the 63 tanks will work. ...... we both have been told it works, but I can't personally say.
your car has a smaller filler neck than the 63, you would have to deal with that. use a 63 to maybe 66 neck, grommet, if the 63 tank will work....

I wasnt sure at all. I just seen listings for 63 up.......Weird. Is the body style totally different?
the 60-62 bodies are way different. I have pics (somewhere????) of 62 tank next to 64 tank. 12 gal vs 16 I believe.
for instance an early A slant rad. will not work in the toad. I guess if you took a torch to rad support then maybe!???? LOL

The 63s are completely different than the 60 thru 62. Took it to a specialist and he said it's the worse looking tank he's ever seen. He's looking as I am for something at least in better shape. On top of that, the sending unit is worse than the tank.
the sending unit is different than the others. but I have seen new repop sending units on feebay. they want more for those of course!!! LOL
when my ship comes in I will order new tank for my 64 dart, and I will see how it fits the TOAD,.... ship is dry docked right now! LOL
