I know this has been ask before. My 65 Barracuda has been sitting for awhile. I need to clean the gas tank or replace it. I blew it out with compressed air and the car starts and runs but if you let it sit a few weeks you need to blow the trash out of the way. It doesn't leak and looks to be in good shape. Should I buy new gaskets and clean it or replace it.
What do you guys think?

clean it and clean or replace the sock on the end of the pick up tube in the tank

Take the tank off the car. Put cleaner and about a half gallon of bb's in it. Find a bud with a truck. strap it down in the bed, get some beverages, and bounce it all over ever bumpy back/dirt road you can find. Then final clean it.
