Need help choosing rod bearings with the full or half circle groove for oiling. rod journels are .020 Have been told clevitt 77 does not make them.:sad10: King does, but I have never used them.
Who do you like, or think has the best bearings

Yep. rod bearings can't use grooved bearings. They are last on the bottom end oiling list. The grooves in the mains provide a channel for the oil to go through as the crank turns so the rods get a more constant supply of oil. Half groove is the norm. There are tapered groove bearings for the main cap which gives it about 3/4 groove or you can use upper bearing shells in the caps from a second bearing set to give you a full groove. toolman

The 3/4 goove Federal Mogul PN is 120M for a 360ci. Im using two sets to make full groove main bearings.

Personally I like the 3/4 groove bearings best. They have more surface area for main journal support yet oil much longer than 1/2 groove mains. JMHO
