I'd bet that women of the 18 to 24 age range today probably do have a much higher count than they did when we were kids.
I shudder to think about it.
It is believed the birth control pill resulted in an increase in activity since the risk of pregnancy was greatly reduced. Kids today grew up being used to condoms which probably has the same effect. In the 80s, the only ones I knew that used rubbers were sailors and dudes that used prostitutes.

You want me to bring my car and charge me to show it. Well if my car and all the other cars didn’t show there would be no show. I think you need to rethink this. Might be just me but if there’s a cost to me other than my gas to get there I’ll be doing something else that day.

The one exception to this is charity events- if I'm comfortable with the charity that's being supported, and the cost isn't outrageous, I consider going.

I've stated in other threads on this subject that I am ok with supporting charities when I attend a car show, otherwise I will only be there for a short time to see the cars.

Our club sponsors 2-3 students with a $1000. Scholarship fund each year. We cater to students going in to an automotive field, but if we have no applicants for that, we still give out to other applications . Other than funding our scholarship program and our show , that is what we do with the monies we raise each year.
The biggest problem we have is all of our members
( about 10 ) are getting old. Energy and ambition is declining. Don’t know how much longer we can keep this up.
