Gear selector roll pin removal.

Is there a direction this roll pin removes on the gear selector. Automatic car. Column shift 1972 Dart. I don't wanna break anything. What size center punch should I be looking for? Thanks

Make sure you get a roll pin center punch, cheap on e-bay.

3 nights and a rat tail file. It finally came out. No damage to the collar. Off to go get a beer.

FYI, a roll pin punch has a dimple to keep it centered. These work way easier than standard punched

This pin was not coming out with a punch without breaking the collar. Rat tail file and a couple cups of coffee. Problem solved. ✌
