gear venders

-
Playing with Triumphs over the years, I've gained some experience with the Laycock overdrive. Good unit, works well. (MG, Jaguar, Volvo and others used these units extensively as well.)

Gear vendors has adapters for a lot of common transmissions, and they've been selling kits for years.

If your budget allows, it's probably worth considering. Just make double darn sure the unit locked out in reverse.

my buddy @ kwikshift transmissions in pleasanton sells and installs them. he thinks very highly of them.

I just had the gear vendors unit installed and it is a nice upgrade. I only have about 300 miles on it but everyone says they are rock solid. They are used in RV's a bunch so durability is a must. If you install the unit you will need to cut a little tunnel out....very minimal, infact you can probably just pound it out if needed. My 3:73 gears are like 2:90 in OD
