Wow is that cheap...I was planning on just a silicon coupler and a cone filter
 
Yeah it's not bad. I'm thinking this should look great but I might have to modify it with a brace. I'm just thinking it'll be sticking out in front of the motor behind the rad.

Thats what I am using. My plan was to mount it the same way as you mentioned on a 6.1 manifold, but I ended up using the stock 5.7 intake so I had to orient mine a different way.

I can only assume they work well, since the motor put out decent hp figures on the dyno.

I got all my parts from frozenboost.com they have multiple sizes, lengths and angle bends as well as tons of silicone pieces. You can build your own to sit exactly where you want...
 
Mine is PVC drain pipe painted black with a spectre filter. Not the prettiest, but it works for now.

I'll get some bends and try to stick my filter in a subtle area. I haven't seen any that look "good"[to me], so I rather just make it a non-focal point in my engine bay.
