I'm wondering about a fully streetable, 3400#-ish A body, 3.23/3.55 geared ride that can run anywhere in the high 10's/low 11's. Sixpackgut ran what...low 10's with a 3.55 gear so it should be able to be geared street friendly.

Maybe something simple...

Starting with a complete 5.7 core.
392 stroker kit (11+:1)
Hughes (or??) CNC ported 5.7 heads
245-250* cam with the correct springs
Stock rockers, etc.

What about an intake for a carb deal? Drag pack it nut$, Ritter isn't much cheaper plus both might not fit under a 6 barrel scoop. Indy Mod Man?? Edelbrock??

Discuss please...

Look at Rat Partols thread on the Modman intake and what he wound up finding that worked best for him. It is pretty informational

That's what I'm talking about! What headers and converter??

TTI 1 7/8 I think and I believe stall was 4800 maybe? I don't exactly recall but I will be running 4200 stall until I switch to stick and 4.10s Guys at EFI Source are Mopar guys and can answer all questions about EFI with one of these

SO EFI Source Duster on 93 octane, 4.10 gears 727 auto 8" 4800 stall 3300pnds ran 11.52. He did say the converter was a little hard so 9 1/2 would be better. This was a stock 6.1 with 80m TB and their out of box tune. 6.1 makes 385 wheel and with a cam should make around 415hp wheel and that should be enough with a lower stall to do mid 11s because his friend with a 2900 pound duster and i think little higher stall did 116 at 11.00 flat. I am happy with low 11 or high 10 if I can get it with little money put into the engine besides cam and headers and TB.

Good stuff, thank you! If my project idea comes to fruition I will lean towards a carb in the beginning for simplicity.

You certainly dont need a hellcat motor. My 2011 challenger ran 11's at 4200 pounds with a stock 6.4. It had a 5 speed and 3.06 rear gears. 1000 pound lighter car should go 10's. You can put a cam in it and make 500 wheel horsepower and go well into the 10's

6.4 makes 430 wheel. My friend has the scatpack 2015. 6.1 with a cam makes 415, so two ways to do it.

We've made high 400's w heads cam on a 6.1. Made north of 500 with heads cam on a 6.4.

Will leave power on table and will cost same.

Okay then, let's hear it! I will need an MSD controller for $600 no matter what, carb or EFI right? The carb intake is +/- $600. I have many carbs to choose from.

But sense I'm a gen III "newbie", what all do I need to stall an OE EFI in a 69 model car? Thanks for the input.

Okay... My post was about two cars at the wheels. 6.4 makes 430 stock and 6.1 with cam will make 415ish at wheels.

No efi source runs stock ignition and efi for 1300. You go carb you need msd which is yes 600 or so then the intake which is around 400-600 and then carb or carbs if you went new or double Evens out and plus pre tuned so saves in tuning cost and mpgs
