Just an update. I pulled the inspection cover and found the culprit I believe. On my brand new RAM Powergrip, one of the three fingers was about 3/16th in further away from the throwout bearing than the other two. I called RAM and they are going to fix it. Only had about 20 super easy miles on it.
Also, to solve the overall release issues some of us experience, I bought a set of HD pedals from another member "drive48." Joe was a great guy to work with. The pedals he sent were better than described. I already cleaned them up and painted them. Gonna install them in the next few days. The 6" spread pin to pin has made a huge difference in others cars over my standard 5.25" spread pedals.
