one more thing done.however a little pissed tho i was told 80 bucks each than jump to 125 each to install. They said that new seals are harder to install than the org, think thats right ?
I did the side glass myself, admazing how good the side and vent glass was.califorina was good to this car love us cars.ya i guess a guy has to make a living too.Its just everytime you do something its always over 100 bucks.well worth tho.
Did you polish up that trim yourself, or is it new? Looks good in the pics. I'm currently polishing up all the trim on mine, and the windshield needs to go back in soon. You're right--everything costs $100+...
Looks good, but the bait and switch tactics piss me off too and seems everybody does this now days.
That's the problem with vendors.
The new seals are no harder to install than originals so I don't know where the installer came up with that one, if anything the seals will be pretty easy to install unless the car is outside in the cold and the seals are cold and stiff.
The warmer the better and silicone makes it all pop right in nice and easy.
i would say that price is normal. i would also say the new rubber is easier than the old hard stuff. i did my own and wouldnt attempt it with old rubber.
I had a local guy install mine last year here on Long Island NY. He supplied the new windshield for my 69 Dart, came to the house, installed it as well reinstalled my own rear window. $190 Took about 1 hour for both. If you are local and need a glass guy, call him.
looks good. 85 to 125 just for the new seal? remind me of the time when my mom took her car in for i dont even remember what but my dad just changed the oil and they said she needed new oil.haha. rip offs. car looks goo though.
