Anyone every try the Mopar Gold box ECU for racing. Any gains if you did? Thinking about trying one this year. I use the Chrome box now. Running 11.70@115 MPH.

I'm assuming (but don't know) it's the same today as when I used it. I ran the MP Gold ECU box back when I was racing in the early 2000's. I was having high RPM trouble with both the orange and chrome box on the track. The Gold box allowed me to rev to 7800 rpm (or so) without issue and I ran it for years. I loved it! I was running 10.80 at 127 mph. It'll be on my car again when I bring it back out.

had the gold box on my 340 when i bought it,...8 yrs later when i sold it still rev to 7500 with no issues...lil 318 had chrome one on it an revved just as well

I ran the Gold box in the 90's, had issues with a couple of them.
I was unable to use it with a two-step rev control.
Changed to MSD box & never looked back.
My opinion, its old technolgy. Update to a MSD box & forget about it.
