Gonna need a new harness

Well, I got my high beam and low beams switching - yea!

But digging around in there, I realized how bad the harness is. 48 years of Mickey mouse repairs - it is so jacked up!

So my questions are, how many harnesses are there under the hood? 1 or 2? Where is a good source for them?

Any experience with the aftermarket parts?

Any good tips or pointers?


I plan to do it with the engine out of the car.

There is one harness under the hood. I got mine from Year One, and am VERY happy with it. The under the hood is not expensive when compared with the under the dash harness.

LOL.....Mine is probably about 7 !


Hope it's not too big a PITA. ...should be easier with the engine out.

When mine arrived from year one is was one harness that took care of everything. I am not saying that it is not several harnesses put together to look like one.
