I got the Dart together except for the idler arm & tie rods, but I'll do that at work on the lift. The alignment is out a mile, but I'll take care of that after I install the other pieces and try out my bosses new $40K laser alignment rack we just got. I also got my seat belts untangled and routed through the bench set, replaced a few loose window handles, painted the rims and put on the dog dish hub caps, even found the ORIGINAL Chrysler keys (in an old leather case...) under the front seat, including the Medco key for the chapman lock! Score big time... Then I remembered I bought a wiper pivot seal kit for the Barracuda, so I dig it out and proceed to install it. THAT'S when disaster struck.

The pivots come right out without too much drame. Especially when some Bozo-hack ripped apart the linkage at one time and butchered it together. ALL the plastic pivots disintergrated and fell apart.... The pivots are sealed, but I have no wipers. I need linkage, or at leaset a rebuild kit. Any advice on where or who I should go to? Or does one of my fellow board members have a good set of A body linkage laying around they'd like to send me? I'll even pay cash American for them!

C`mon, someone please PM me with some good news. I'll be out of state most of this week. I'd love to find them waiting for me next weekend so I can drive this thing in the rain! Thanks in advance...:salut:

John I have a freind parting out a Valiant. I'll ask him how much. What parts do you need from it ?

John is 71 Duster one's the same?
I have a set if you want them, just have to dig them out.

These are for a `74 Dart. I would imagine they are the same.... I need the link from the wiper motor to the left side pivot, and the link from the left side pivot to the right side. The actual parts needed are the bushings & clips that go into the links (wish I had my camera with me....)It looks like the bushing might actually mount on the pivot arms, and then the linkage clips over that. Since everything was butchered, I'd take EVERYTHING, pivots included, and sort it out here.

There's not much left of what was supposed to be there. Everything was kinda jammed together....:dontknow:

I'll dig them out when i get home tomorrow and send you a pic. of what i got.

LOL, John if Kev doesnt have what you need let me know and I'll ask my friend for you.

Thanks guys! After I posted before I thought I could always strip the linkage out of the Barracuda if I really get jammed up.

Not like I'm going to be driving THAT thing anytime soon. Let alone in the rain.....but I don't want to start with that. Next thing you know I'll have the 360-6Bbl. & 4 spd. in the old Dart. :-s

good luck on the find, man that would suck being in the middle of something like that and some hacker messed up your stuff, kinda reminds me of my car, and its a mopar, its not like you can just order everything out of a book....*cough...gm...cough*

John i sent you a PM yesterday with a pic. of the linkage i have, didn't you get it?

I got those pieces new at a Dodge Dealer last fall for a '73 Scamp. I had first tried to get them from salvaged cars but they would break when trying to remove them.

Here you go John. I know this is your plan.

You have NO IDEA how tempting it is to drop all the good stuff from the `Cuda in the Dart and call it a Hot Rod.

Not gonna happen. I'm gonna finish that damn Barracuda if it's the LAST thing I do!

Any body got a picture of this, can this be cut from nylon stock on a small mill....?
