I have "expanded" my interest with a 64 Merc Cyclone and a 66 Ford Fairlane. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of a good Ford forum on the net like FABO!? Old dog needs to learn new tricks!!
 
That's a tough one. I'm on a couple different Ford truck forums, but most of the car forums I've run across are nothing like this place. I know there are a TON of 5.0/Fox Body forums, but they get old pretty quickly.

Same here. I used to post on the FTE forum quite a bit, but then I got married again, bought a new house, moved....You know: Life.

I wasn't planning on spending a good portion of the summer working on this Aussie Mopar, as I have my own projects to work on, but again: Life (happens). Once we take this ride back up to Northern WI in a couple weeks I'll be shutting down the shed for the winter, more or less, as it's non-heated.

But as the saying goes, "Just wait until next year!"
 
I would look into an early Mustang forum, a good amount of these cars are the same basic content. Are you looking for specific information on a particular topic?

That's for sure, I did some further digging into a few Ford sites, joined the Torino one as I have owned several of them and I have been thinking about getting another one. It's not anything close to FABO but I will try it out for a little while and see what it's going to be like.

WARNING! When you put that 351W stroker in them in place of the 289 or 302, the headers in place on those motors will be about 1 1/2" too short to work on that 351W beast :lol:

I did have a Comet guy tell me I needed hi-po 289 exh. manifolds to work in my 64 with the 289 for decent set up. Those are repoped and priced not too aweful bad. If they were a Mopar piece they would not be available and if so, would costs a zillion $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!
 
I dropped a 351W into my '66 Ranchero. The previous 289 was the 271 hp factory model with many good additions. The 351 ran good, don't get me wrong but compared to my 289 it was like going from a 375 horse 327 chebbie to their 4v 350. Whole different driving experience.
 
Try Dennis Carpenter Ford Reproductions in
North Carolina.......... they have very nice repro parts, and some NOS stuff too. I believe most of their parts are made with
their own dies. Nice parts IMO!!
