Good manifold/carb combo for fun 273 daily driver?

1st im new to Mopars ,I have a 67 Valiant Moredoor W/273 2 barell.Gonna do the usual Manifold ,Carb,Cam,Headers and leave the heads alone(for now) for a spirited daily driver.Already have a dual exhaust with crossover pipe.What cam and manifold is optimum? I was looking at the Eddy performer and a 600 for Man and carb ?Is that carb too much for the 273?Is that a good choice for manifolds on the 273?What are you guys using....

Do you know how many miles are on this 273 ? Does it still have the original single plane intake and carb ? Original exhaust manifolds ? Still have points ignition ?
I ask because there are several inexpensive upgrades you can do to make it more fun to drive without blowing it up.

Yes its the original 2 barell intake and carb.Its got about 30k on the engine its been rebuilt.It is points and yes its the original exhaust manifolds.

Its got a dual exhaust with a crossover pipe already.I was going to get headers 1st.Then cam,manifold,and carb.I may even forget the cam and leave it be.Thinking with the right headers,manifold and carb its gonna run great .Just looking for a good manifold,carb,combo.I am not new to cars I have several im just new to Mopars and I know people have their fave combos just tryin to see whats runnin good on the 273

After some looking around it looks like the basic Performer intake and Eddy 600 will be my choice.

Yeah or you could do old school and get an old single plane 318 streetmaster and a 500 carb. I think you might get better mpg ?

I run a Carter 625 on an Eddy Performer with a Crane cam (Duration 276/286, Lift .441) in my 318 Demon. Compression ratio is 9.5:1. I'm happy with it.

Don't be surprised, however, if the Moredoor doesn't seem as peppy as you would like after the engine mods. The 273 likes to be wound up to produce power. Secondly, the rear gear is going to need some help to really wake things up.

Recommend nothing larger than 625 cfm on a 273 street car and if the car is an automatic, recommend an air valve secondary like the Eddy/Carter carbs. The Holley 4160 also has a vacuum controlled secondary.

I've got one that's been in the shed since parting a 71 318 B'cuda out back in 1984.... Gonna put either a pair of 69 or 83 318 heads on Jake's 65 and donate the old Streetmaster to him.....
