I succesfully fired up and broke in my 440 and 727, I had to do it with no exhaust.

Now on to the exhaust so I can work with out ear plugs.

I am looking at modifying a TTI for a small block A-body, We have a 2-1/2" TTI Kit on our '70 E body and our '68 Abody.

I know some use the PYPES kit but I have never seen one in person and actually have been reading mixed reviews.

What do you guys think? The sound quality isn't the greatest... the little microphone on the camera was overwhelmed pretty quickly.
 
Right on, I remember the first time I fired my 440. couldn't wait for the fuel lines. poured gas down the carb...vroom.

I assume you have full length headers, right? If so, there won't be much if any modification necessary to run the TTI kit for the small block with headers. I doubt the collectors are in that much of a different place. I'd imagine that has more to do with the chassis.
 
I am running the Schumacher Tri-Y headers, they are not full length that I am aware of.

I have pretty much decided to build my own exhaust...

Check it out, this is the first time I have ever driven it! Owned it five years, its been dead (blown engine) for close to 10 years. Now its up and moving!
