Them kids were running for the hills. I like how the one try to choke it out with a little rag. Ha it took that and ate it and spit it out the tail pipe. That wasn't they way I thought the video would end. I figured it would have come apart!
 
Those governors on those old two cycle Detroits are touchy and you'd better know what you're doing before trying to make any changes or adjustments. When you're trying to start one of those for the first time after doing any work that requires you to disconnect or remove the governor, you always want to be ready with a 1 x 6 or a 2 x 6 to slap over the air intake so that it doesn't run away like that. They've been known to scatter like a jet engine coming apart.
