Leave it to me to find a computer terminal in my hotel! Here I sit in sunny (today at least....) San Fracisco enjoying my visit the best I can. Brother in law is sick, but doing well for the moment. We managed to get some sight-seeing done. We went up to Haight-Ashbury and did some shopping and hippie-spotting. Can you believe there's a GAP store RIGHT ON THE CORNER of Haight/Ashbury??? Far cry from the 60's.... So far it's been an interesting visit. Beautiful hotel we're staying at ( Savoy on Geary & Jones ) Not much automotive happening here. Not a single cool-car spotted yet..... But we still have a few days to go.

Gotta run. We're off to Fisherman's Warf for dinner in a little while. Get back to you guys later.....

:salut:

We had some snow here about a week ago. Well actually on the Big Island (that island is actually called Hawaii) on the top of Mauna Kea. It's over 13,000 ft high at the observatory. You can actually go snow skiing in the morning then hit the surf in the afternoon :D

There's a Goodguys Show at Pleasanton not too far from SF if you want to check some cool cars but I won't be able to make it

Enjoy the sun. We had snow today.

SNOW???? Geeez.... THAT sucks!

We just got back from dinner @ Fishermans Wharf. Yummy! :thumrigh: Stopped elsewhere for desert: :puker: Oh well....

Still no car-action. Best we saw so far was a `92 Buick W/ 20" rims :silent: Cable cars ROCK. Fun experience. Too many street people out here. Every corner there's someone with their hand out. It's worst than Manhatten!

Well, we're off to bed

See ya's tomorrow.................*

Actually where I'm staying is in the rather up-scale area. Lotsa theaters & clubs. Now if you go into the "Tenderloin" area near Market street.....

So far, neat place to visit. Although I do have Village People songs running through my head.... :shaking:

If you get a chace, ride across the bridge and go into Sausalito. Some pretty cool sights to see, plus if your wife likes to shop, she'll love it.

OK....final few hours in this crazy place. We spent some time last night in the Castro section of the city. Wow..... I thought Greenwhich Village was out there! I had a young gentleman comment to me (in front of my wife no less....) that he wished his boyfriend looked as good as me! I politely smiled and squeezed my wife's hand to keep her from laughing hysterically. VERY openly gay community. But know what? I never seen such a nice area as far as eateries and clubs. Live & let live.... Good words to live by.

I saw some Mopars! While driving throught the city yesterday I spotted a `64 Valiant `vert, a `61 Lancer. I also saw quite a few VW Beetles ranging from early `60's through the `70's and while cruising Market St. last night I saw a `69-71 Nova that I know I've seen in either Hot Rod, Car Craft, or on one of those TV shows. It was orange with a light tan interior and running 17" polished Torque Thrusts. It was absolutely beautiful! Also on a Mopar related note I saw the street where they filmed the infamous chase scene from Bullit.

All in all, I did manage to find things of interest in contrast to the seriousness of my brother-in-laws condition. He needs a liver transplant ASAP and more than likely he will not get it in time. We're praying for him.

Well, peace out gang.... I'm off to breakfast and then a 6 hour flight home. Catch ya'll back home. :thumrigh:
