What have others done to restore the grills, made of plastic,, on early 70 dodge darts. Mine is a 74 dart swinger and was originally a silver gray color I believe. Do most of you just paint it gray or silver or is there a process to make it look new. Just curious what others have done, mine is flaking and looking to make it look better
 
Powder coating isn't an option on a plastic grille. I restored my grille for my 1970 Swinger and it took 50+ hours. Totally auto makes the correct colour for your grille and the black accents can be done with SEM trim black. I recommend a quality two part plastic epoxy if you need to do any repairs as well. I'm not sure of the colour scheme on that particular grille, but if there's black and silver details be prepared for a lot of masking!!
