Where dose the short black(about 4")ground wire go under the dash for my 68 dart?
 
Here is one that was on my Duster ('72). Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to pic the other end of the wire... It is the wire with the splice connector on it, one end attached to the bolt holding the steering column up.

it goes from the studs that hold the column bracket to the dash to the bolts that hold the bracket to the column...

this is because of those plastic bushings...
 
Ok,got it. But what will it do if I don't have it? When I got the dart it was not there, and the car didn't run. So I spliced in a hot wire to the ignition switch and it started. But the brake lights don't work. And now the fuseable link went out. I'm lost.
