Hello there,
Just wondering what the advantage is grouting your block?? I have heard about people doing it but not sure why, And how do you go about grouting it, Can you do it yourself or do you need to take it to a machine shop??
thanks Doug

No, not worth it unless you are exceeding 600hp. Can negatively affect cooling. You can do it yourself but you need to prep the block and be careful - you only get one shot and if it's full of air bubbles it's not going to help much. IMO - not worth it. If you plan to exceed that figure, just buy a better block.

as a general rule you should avoid grout filling any motor that is going to see street duty unless you live in a location with a very cold climate.

Thanks guys, I was just trying to get some knowledge on the procedures involved & if it would be beneficial in my engine......I don't think my 340 will be pushing out 600hp any time soon lol.
