Hi guys, the rear end in my Valiant has a nasty howl coming from it. I am pretty sure its the pinion but I am not 100% certian. The drive shaft has no slop in it and the wheels do feel a lil stiff, but I think the old 7.25 is finally giving it up. Its pretty darn loud at highway speeds. Does anyone have any suggestions ? If its bad, what would be the best choice to run with my standard slant six and 904 ?

I wouldn't keep driving it at highway speeds. I did that on a 04 1/2 ton pick up and let my foot off the gas while getting off the interstate and the rear end locked up. Luckily I did not wreck but it had a bad howl and I was going to fix it that weekend and it didn't hold that long.
