Verizon is threatening to shut down their 3G stuff and go all 4G-5G, so "I guess" I needed a new phone

I do NOT want a smart phone. As you all likely know, flip phones are getting hard to get, and the choices suck, and most of them available are poorly reviewed and made by "people I've never heard of."

I have Verizon "prepaid" the lowest cheapest I can get, about 30 bucks a month. Ended up getting a HUGE phone called a Kyocera model E4810, named "DuraXV Extreme." it's HUGE It's BIG. In fact it is quite large. BUT you can hang on to it, partly because of it's size, and partly because it is slightly "dog boned" at the ends, creating an easier shape to hang onto. But for me, in my partial deafness, the SPEAKERS are one of the defining "things." The machine has two LARGE speakers and the speaker phone can be LOUD. (On a side note, the earphone is barely there. I don't know why they didn't boost it a bit more)

There are things I don't like--the menu to operate the text messages sucks a bit and it took me awhile (due to differing terms) to figure out how to turn on the "dark theme" (reversed colors) in the menu to get away from the bright background.

This phone is not cheap--nearly 300 by the time I got it here. But it is somewhat waterproof and rugged. One member on here posted that he dropped it ? 10ft or more? and it survived

As usual, "we'll see" New vs old......... It is 4.36 x 2.22 x 1.07 in

Maybe a better size representation..........
