Happy New Year hope 2009 is better than 08

Happy{ier} New Year to you all.

At least I am back living at my own house,
but this year ended really crappy for me.

I had my right quadriceps tendon rupture, Oct 15th 2008
and had to have surgery to repair it, Oct 27.

I stayed at my Dad and Stepmoms from Oct 22, till Dec 5th.

I will be out of work till at least then end of Feb, and maybe longer.

I might have to have preventive surgery on the other leg,
and that would keep me out of work, another 4 months.

Now my Mom tells me her cancer is back,
and its on her spine this time.:angry7:

She has had 2 major operations this year,
she lost her spleen, and 70% of her pancreas,
and a few years ago lost 1 kidney to cancer.

I got 6 Christmas cards this year,
used to get about 30.

Waah.
WTF.:clock: Time waits for no-one.
 
Sorry to here about your bad year caveman. Hope 2009 turns out to be a better year for you and your family. Hang in there and, happy new year!
 
cavemanmoron hopefully your 2009 is much better! I know know I'm hoping for a better one myself after that severe stroke I had in 2008. Happy New Year and all the best in 2009!
 
just remember its not how many times u get nocked down but how many times u get back up!!! give me ur address ill send u a x-mas card . hopefully things get better for u brother

Thanks, yes I keep getting back up,
but at times its not easy.When my quadriceps tendon ruptured
I had to pull myself up using the ladder, and hop on one foot back in the house.At least I didn't fall off the 24 foot ladder a month earlier.

I am using up my sick time, and vacation time at work,
I am on 1/2 pay, so thats better than no income at all.

Some vacation, I can't afford to go anyplace,.Waah.:angry7:

I just ordered pizza and wings and Pepsi for my New Years
celebration, with the $20. my Dad gave me as my Christmas gift. Only 60-90 minutes for delivery.
Too bad nobody else will be here, to join in.:wack:

Hey Lee.

Ya there are things that suck about 2008. However, one must look ahead and hope for better things to come. maybe you just got it all out of the way and 2009 will be a great year !

hope things go well for your mom .

I wont be sharing new years with anyone either, except for my two girls so enjoy the pizza and have a slice for me !

I hope the new year is better to you, I will be right here and bring in the new year with my wife and be good, The pizza douse sound good though.
Canadian bacon and mushrooms for me, Happy new year caveman.

I can relate, 2008 has not been a stellar year for me or my family either. I`m going to cook a nice dinner at home tonight and ring in the new year watching the ball drop on TV. I`m looking forward to better times in the upcoming year. Happy New Year to all FABO members!!!
