Have a TIG Welder? What are you using?

-
I bought a vintage Lincoln 300-300 tig years ago. You can find these at reasonable prices but they`re big and HEAVY!, but will probably last forever and you won`t be supporting a commi country.

I hear you on the China thing.
But unless I am wrong, they are all using some "off shore" parts.
Some are assembled in the US yes.
I had a Lincoln MIG machine.
Obsolete parts made fixing it more than buying a new one, by a LOT.
I really don't want to buy an old machine and those headaches.

I was looking at the Eastwood machine, TIG 200.

After shipping for the same price you could get a more capable machine in the PrimeWeld 225 or even the AHP welder mentioned earlier. Eastwood has awesome videos but their products leave a bit to be desired.

That Primeweld looks busy to me, what makes it so much better?
Sounds like you have one you use?

I do and really like it. You don’t need to use the knobs if you don’t want to but when you get to the point where you want to have pulse or adjustable pre and post flow you’ll be happy you have them. Check out the below vid about the primeweld. He had a vid about the AHP as well. Just note they have upgraded the foot pedal since his example was shipped. The one they ship with now is A LOT better.
