HDK with 6.1 hemi

anyone running a Hemi Denny K with a 6.1hemi using stock/factory headers/exhaust manifolds?
my question is about the steering shaft...
how many universals did you need ?
got any pics

im in mock up stage. i have not set the block in yet,but using 2 u joints just looks wrong. im thinking 3 will be needed

Hi Dustin

to get the most exhaust manifold clearance, slide the steering column as far as possible to the drivers side, To get the max, I sometimes slot the holes slightly on the columns firewall bracket.

I mocked up my 6.1 with Jeep manifolds, they tend to hug the block closer than any other factory manifolds. In my mock-up, I use a universal at the rack and another further up to connect to the steering column.

i like the slot idea.
i ran out of propane tonight, so i couldnt set my block in.
