Head design

I'm an engineering student at UNC Charlotte and I'm looking into designing a head and matching intake for a mopar big or small block. I would like some opinions on where or if the current market is lacking in an area (big or small block, performance level, ect.). This is preliminary research from experienced racers on what is in the most demand and ideas on how to gain more power in the racers' views.

2 come to mind:An improved reproduction of the Econo W2.For a really wild project,a LS head type port,adapted to stock LA/Magnum specs. Give Bill Dedman ,a P.M.
 
do a slant head... there are more than enough heads from stock to wild for LA/Magnum/B and RB mopars...

But Not one new head for a slant since 1960...
 
Thanks for the replies...I'll keep these ideas in mind. I hadn't thought of doing a slant head, but i'm not sure there's really a big enough demand for it, but i'm open to ideas on the slant, too if you've got any.
