Head question slant 6

hi,from what year the slant 6 head have no tubes for the 5/8 spark plugs?...thank's

If I'm not mistaken, 78 was the first year, maybe 77. My 79 Volare slant didn't have the plug tubes, so it started before 79 for certain.

For some reason thinking 72, my 74 had them when they went electronic ignition?
