Head question

I had to unbolt my passenger side header last night. When I removed the first header bolt(at the front of the engine) coolant started leaking from the bolt hole. On Chrysler 360 heads is this supposed to happen? I know it doesn't on GM heads. I'm guessing someone before me broke through the water jacket with to long of a bolt. Thanks...

Yep, it's normal. I've gotten into the habit of applying RTV to the front and rear header bolt threads on both sides if I take them out. Never leaked once after being put together.

one bolt on each end of the head goes into water....

no big deal

Perfectly normal. I used short studs instead of bolts so it don't loose coolant when I take the headers loose.
