Hello all,

Being an amateur, header fabrication seemed to be a daunting task. In my case one tube seemed to be dominant, thus only going to work in one configuration. Once that tube was determined the other tubes seemed much easier to configure.

A flat surface, compass, Sharpe, magnets and a 45*/90* magnet combination help out ALOT!

Hey that looks really good. Final welding will be a pain in the dick though. Building headers sucks but it is rewarding when you’re finished.

Thank you for the kind words.

Welding them up is the reward. I’ll pull them off and Smoke’m up on the fab table.

The pia is going to be racking up the tubes to the stubs with a finger switch instead of the pedal.

Is this your first set ? I usually have a bottle of Crown Royal on the cowl panel ! LOL! Modifying some hose clamps with slots ground in them helps you line the tubes up tight to rotate and tack. Then finish on a bench with a cyl. head clamped down. good luck

Badass dude.

Rather than trying to weld them together as an assembly you should cut a few tack welds apart and then weld sub assemblies together allowing for better weld coverage. Sometimes in tight situations gas welding with steel rod beets a tig torch.

Nice work! Wanna come over to my house and move a couple header tubes for me? I'll buy the beer.
Seriously, my opinion only, not a criticism. I think I would have had #7 a little farther away from the master. Equal length is a myth.

I’m going to wrap #7.

An art form I’ll never achieve….. but then again I don’t have a tig welder. Slip fit and I can get them out of the car with minimal effort. Kudos to your patience!!

Tire clearance was a concern of mine, but you seem to be doing okay with your set up. Thanks for the photos.

Are the headers painted or is that other type of coating.
