That was a good one. Max wedge are kick *** for what they are but damn are they heavy! Hp manifolds would never be on any of my engines just turds.

That’s a great comparison. The 440 is kind of a dog. Way too much cam.

Im betting it was low compression and that big'ol cam didn't help.
I think he said at one point that cranking compression was 165.

That's exactly where the cranking pressure is on the 351M in my F250. It's rated at 8.4:1. It's stout for what it is, too.
I was just handling a set of Max Wedge manifolds and thought they were suprisingly light for being iron .
FAST class guys seem to run ok with HP manifolds . Whats their secret ?
