I numbered the headliner bows when I took them out and also did on a parts car! It been quite while ago.
So I steel wooled them and painted. figured I’d install them to check fit before putting them in the headliner sleeves.
Well, the 2-6 were good. The problem is How does the front one fit?
The only thing I can see is there’s a 1” to maybe 1 1/2” oval hole on each side.
Does the front bow float in those holes?
I guess when I took them out I’d remember!
Boy! Was that a mistake! Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

The oval hole is for the dome lamp wires. There should be an opening right above the jam/shark tooth strip where the front listing wire slides into. Post a photo and someone will be able to point out where they go. I did the headliner in my '66 not too long ago.

Here's my '65 Dart GT, it's probably the same as a '66. This is the best pic I could take. There's a hole partially hidden behind the shark tooth piece just below the large oval hole.
