Heads Up!!!...Edel.D4B on E-Bay

-
This intake might for the earlier 273 engines that had a different manifold bolt pattern than later 273, 318, 340 and 360 engines. If anyone is interested, the might want to double check this. The the LD4B fits the regular small blocks. I know it "looks" right. But there was a different pattern and intakes to fit in the early years.

yes,but the D4B has the small ports for the 273,318 engines. The bolt holes can be modified to fit the early heads if needed,no sweat. That IS the only difference between early and late heads. The LD4B has too large of ports for the smaller engines. The "L" stands for large port D4B.

Lee...I saw that one too.

Are you sure your not confusing the LD4B with the LD340? The LD340 has the larger ports for 340 and 360 heads.

I hope these links work. Unfortunately, from the top, they do look very similar except for the carb mounting pad.

Guess not. :(

This link shows the LD4B fitting '67 & up small blocks. But no D4B listed.

If the bolt holes are a different angle, they could be re-done. But is it worth the time?

.....and here is another thread from this forum about the intakes:

Oh, you could be right! I thought the L stood for Large,as in ports. Could be it stands for Late,as in Late(r) model heads with the conventional intake bolt pattern.

I stand corrected. Thanks.

There could be some early A engine guys here that want one.

There is so much to know that nobody can know everything. That's why forums like this allow everybody to share info. I know I learned a lot over the years!
