I guess when the server crashed my original thread was lost.
Anyway I just finished rebuilding my heater box and relocating the blower motor for added clearance.
The later 74 Dart Sport is a little different than the tech shows so here is what I did.
First off I accidentally broke the plastic squirrel blower because it's held in place with a spring hose clamp and the plastic snapped when I was trying to remove the blower fan from the motor shaft.
The blower fan is notched for the motor shaft so it won't spin on the motor shaft. I ground down the inside of the fan flat and used a collar to secure the fan from sliding off.
Pictures are pretty self explanatory.
I cut the motor mounting plate out with a 3" hole saw and used a piece of 3" ID exhaust pipe to extend it further into the heater box. It's welded in and then sealed with seam sealer. It required a slot cut in the side to allow the motor to slid in and get the wires in the correct location.
