I'm finishing the heater box, 66 dart, non ac. Do I force the cardboard back to fit the contour? Or does it stay flat?
Thanks

I did my 68 non AC recently. The cardboard fit the contour and IIRC, it is held in place with metal clips.

What did you use on the outside finish? That looks awesome!!

Ditto on the clips, and what I did was soak the carboard with paint and then let it dry in the curved position, and then put it in.

(In my car) there was nothing that held that end of the box in place, and I didn't want the cardboard pushing it out of position from the firewall.

Thanks, I cleaned it with purple power, scuffed it up with a green scotch brite. Wiped it down with acetone. Then I used adhesion promoter and sems landau black paint, turned out well

Sometimes that cardboard is creased there to fold it down and clip it off, so I say its supposed to fold over some!! Geof
