My heater controls on my 72 swinger are froze for some reason and I would like to take them out to repair. How do you get them out? Do you have to remove the radio?
This is a factory A/C car. All help is appreciated as I am stumped.

I have a 72, you have to take out the glove box and snake your arm and a 1/4 drive socket (3/8 or 5/16)? can't remember which over to the unit, there are two nuts one right and one on the left. Texas Acres sells oem units if you are interested.
Hope this helps.

Yep you can go throew the glovebox or drop a/c vents, ashtray hanger, and radio. I go this route with a lil round finger ratchet, short extension and 3/8 socket.
