heater hoses

i bought my 67 cuda without an engine and naturally without heater hoses, i was wondering which of the nipples in the firewall is an outlet and which is an inlet. also which goes where on the engine. thanks

i dont think it really matters.

On a small block the right side (passenger side)heater core hose goes to the intake.

That`s right from the factory service manual.

As the guys said the smaller of the two goes to the intake which means this one is the inlet for the heater and the large one is the outlet going to the pump.
