Its time to order the engine wiring harness for my 72 Dart Swinger. I am planning on switching to a ready to run HEI distributor. I see Classic Industries has a Hei harness:

1972 All Makes All Models Parts | MA2271 | 1972 Mopar A-Body 340 With Hei - Engine Wiring Harness - Stock With Ecu | Classic Industries

Is this for the RTR distributor or is this for an stock electronic ignition module? Has anyone use this one? Or am I better off getting a points harness and bypassing the ballast resistor?

the one in your link looks like a factory electronic ignition harness. if so, you would still bypass the ballast

The pictured harness is for a Chrysler style ecu.

Personally if going HEI I’d go with a points harness. You are gonna remove most of that ecu crap anyway.

I decided to go with the points harness. That way I can use my points setup to break in and switch later. I think it will be easier to modify and cheaper.
